Capitalism is dead - in its current form!

There are many interesting videos to be found on YouTube, which is hardly surprising given that capitalism, and its end or survival, are hot topics since the super-rich have been getting even richer, and the rest of us, well, poorer off in comparison.
I don't for one moment deny that capitalism has brought many advances, in medicine, technology and the like. But it has also brought some terrible stuff, like wiping out of indigenous nations, exploitative colonialism, and (in my view) now-embedded greed in advanced societies.
I say "now-embedded", as capitalism depends on growing consumption, so that over the years we consumers have unwittingly been conditioned to believe that more stuff equals more happiness.
As I've argued elsewhere, more does not equate to better. Many people are frantic to earn more, or make more from their investments or business, in the belief that they will be more fulfilled.
There's no doubt that an important minority of people will always be greedy, as it's in their genes, in much the same way that an important minority will always be criminals and murderers.
But for the overwhelmingly vast majority of us, I believe it's possible to wean ourselves off the over-consumption treadmill. In fact many millions have already done just that, for reasons such as concern for nature and the environment, and awareness that more is not better.
So Enufism is for all those people who are not quite there yet. Deep down they feel all is not well with this crazy consumer and greed driven society we live in, but could benefit from being part of a movement that reflects their suspicions about society, and knowing that Enuf can do things on a public scale to change society's ideas on what matters.
So what can Enuf, and enufism, do to change the public mind-set? First, there is lobbying in all its senses (parliamentary, literature, broadcasting etc). Next, as we grown and attract more members, we will facilitate the setting up of local, regional, and national groups, because grass-roots activity produces results!
So we invite you to join us, and also to please donate, as we will need funds to achieve our aims. The links for both are below. Thank you!
